 CZ. Desetiletý David se stává členem dětského jachtařského klubu. Cvičí s ostatními dětmi a pomáhá stavět další plachetnice, ale skutečného plachtění si zpočátku moc neužije. Časem však vedoucí oddílu Vala rozhodne, že bude jezdit s jeho synem Oldou místo Bédi Hudce. Kdyby se osvědčil, je naděje, že by se chlapci mohli dostat na mezinárodní regatu do Finska. Oddílovou soutěž sice vyhrají, ale cesta k vytouženému cíli je ještě dlouhá. Davidovi se ježdění s Oldou zprvu líbí. Vyhrávají a jeho polička nad postelí se plní získanými cenami. Proto je také ochoten trpět i to, že si z něj nafoukaný Olda udělal poskoka. David se ho pokouší změnit, donutit ho, aby se k němu choval lépe. Zatímco trenér oddílu, přezdívaný Kocour, se snaží získat pro oddíl vlastní autobus, pan Kubíček, který viděl Oldovo chování k Davidovi, se snaží syna přesvědčit, že by neměl svou čest vyměnit za místo na palubě plachetnice. Po dalších Oldových ústrcích se David skutečně rozhodne pro vzpouru, a to přímo uprostřed rozhodujícího závodu.
EN. Ten-year-old David joins a sailing club. He trains hard and helps repair the sailing boats, but people have to take turns actually sailing. The club chairman Vala wants David to sail with his son Olda. Olda's previous team mate Béda has grown too fast, but with little David Olda could win a place on the regatta to Finland. Olda is arrogant and accustomed to winning with little effort; he bullies David and calls him "Greenhorn". He makes David his servant and blames him when things go wrong.

Gracious Curves / Naisenkaari. 1997.
At the age of 46 the Finnish director Kiti Luostarinen philosophises about the question what it means to live in a female body and what it is like to develop from a girl to a woman, to bloom, to age and eventually to die. At her age she can review her mother‘s life, feel herself grow older and see her daughter change into a woman. In her documentary, Luostarinen may present as many as fifty Finnish women from 4 to 90 years old, but the tone remains essayistic. She does not use any so-called experts or obligatory interview fragments. Luostarinen approaches the subject from a personal angle. With sufficient self-irony and a great sense of humour she acts as the narrator. Both young girls and elderly women tell about their experiences and feelings, concentrating on the development from girl to grandmother. At times she interrupts her film essay with fictitious scenes, in which she makes an ironical plea in favour of the iron brassiere and a woman cherishes her extracted fat in a preserving jar. Expanding hips, flabby buttocks and sagging breasts are usually camouflaged, but Luostarinen demonstrates the beauty of round tummies, because: ‘Oldness liberates you of false belief‘.

Two little girls hide in the boys' bathroom at school so they can find out what happens there. When two boys come in, the four gradually talk each other into taking off their clothes. The principal catches them, and angrily berates them for what they've been up to, warning them that he'll have to tell their parents about the incident. Later repercussions are seen as parents of three of them separately discuss and fight about what has happened, with some taking a winking attitude of their child's discovery and others battling about how to react. Returning to school poses an additional challenge, as everyone has found out what has gone on.

In addition, her antique store, Mezurashiya, gives Kaori an illustrated book of the sea, and her interest in the sea deepens. Takashi's mother, Yoshie, and Konzo, the most skilled fisherman in the village, are Etsuko's old classmates, and the way they live together with the sea is dazzling to Etsuko. Meanwhile, a plan is made to build a resort hotel in the village, and a shady real estate agent wanders around, but the villagers insist that the sea is their property. The festival is over and a typhoon is coming. One day, Kaori and her friends sneak out to sea in a small boat and are swept away by the tide, arriving at an unknown island. She spends an anxious night, but is rescued by adults the next morning. Eventually, summer ends, and Kaori returns to Tokyo with her wonderful memories in her heart...

A little girl falls asleep as her parents and their friends discuss the film "The Front Page", and she dreams about reporters, a cop, and an escaped convict (all played by children).
This is supposedly the first film appearance of Shirley Temple. This is also the first of the "Baby Burlesk" series. Toddlers in diapers act out adult roles. In this one, the children's dialog is spoken by an adult doing comical voices and accents. (Later shorts had the children speaking their own lines.) The parody plot here makes sense to anyone who has seen The Front Page (1931) or any of its remakes, but is probably bewildering to anyone else. It does not really matter!

Throughout the film many bizarre things happen. For example, to teach their children about sex, they do it right in front of them. The grandparents also talk to the camera buck naked.

Shadows of Time (German: Schatten der Zeit, Bangla: সময়ের প্রতিচ্ছবি) is a 2004 Bengali language German romance film directed by Florian Gallenberger in his directorial debut. Filmed in Calcutta, India, the film stars Prashant Narayanan, Tannishtha Chatterjee, Irrfan Khan and Tillotama Shome.
Ravi has settled in his dreary fate as indented boy-laborer in a textile plant outside Calcutta, making sure he earns and saves more then other boys to buy his release. Yet when young, naive Masha is sold into service by her debt-crushed father, Ravi falls in love with her and rather the see her sold as private all-purposes servant, spends his savings on her release. They agree to meet in Calcutta's largest Shiva temple once he's free. Being the captive of his own skill, that takes years, while she becomes a brothel's star. Ravi arrives as a man, and unable to find her accepts to become an old carpet trader's brilliant right hand and near-fiancé of his beloved granddaughter Deepa. Fate makes her marry affluent customs official Yani and Ravi re-orphaned Deepa before the true lovers meet again.

As of 2018, the original novel has sold more than 2.4 million copies in Japan. It was translated into German, Spanish, Hungarian and other languages. It was adapted into a live action film in 1979, a Japanese television drama series in 1980 and an anime film in 2005.
The live action film, titled Tokyo Air Raid Glass Rabbit (東京大空襲　ガラスのうさぎ), is directed by Yūten Tachibana and was released on July 14, 1979.
