Udivitelnyy malchik / Amazing boy. 1970.
Old Soviet musical adventure fairy tale film for children. The film premiered on January 1, 1971 on the First Program of the USSR Central Television. The film features eight songs with music by Eduard Artemyev and poems by Anatoly Naiman, five of which were performed by a beginner and little-known singer at that time, soloist of the Mosconcert Alla Pugachyova.
The rich man Bubnila, who in every way knocks out taxes from the townspeople, discovers in the laboratory of his debtor - Art, a professor of all kinds of sciences, a mechanical toy - a boy with transparent blue eyes. He decides that he can make a fortune on this invention. But soon the rich man has a competitor - the insidious doctor Capa, who orders his bandits to find and kidnap the robot. The doctor dreams of finding out the principle by which this robot is assembled, and creating a thousand of exactly the same boys. He will no longer need henchmen, as one robot will replace ten gangsters.

Putkinotko / Children of the Wilderness. 1954.
FI. Teuvo Tuliolta vaikutteita ottaneiden melodraamojen ja sotilasfarssien jälkeen Roland af Hällström ohjasi neljä merkittävää klassikkokirjallisuuden filmatisointia, joita voi pitää ohjaaja-käsikirjoittajan päätöinä. Ensimmäisenä valmistui Joel Lehtosen Putkinotkon (1920) elokuvasovitus, jota seurasi Putkinotkoa monessa muistuttanut Ilmari Kianto -filmatisointi Ryysyrannan Jooseppi (1955), F. E. Sillanpään samannimisen kuuluisimman teoksen filmatisointi Poika eli kesäänsä (1955) ja vielä Minna Canth -sovitus Lain mukaan (1956). Näistä Putkinotko ja Ryysyrannan Jooseppi nousevat omaan luokkaansa.
Viime vuosisadan alussa lähellä Savonlinnaa asuvan Käkriäisen perheen elämästä yhden päivän ajalta kertova Putkinotko on tarina rähjäisistä, köyhistä ja sivistymättömistä metsäläisistä. Juutas (Matti Lehtelä), perheen pää, on ulkonäöltään koko perheestä kaikkein räjähtänein, niin likaisen näköinen, että melkein hänet voi haistaakin. Valtaosan vuodesta Juutas on saamaton vätys, joka kyllä rakastaa vaimoaan (Elvi Saarnio) ja eritoten monia lapsiaan, mutta viihtyy parhaiten yksin ja omilla reissuillaan.
Käkriäisen perheen elanto tulee viinan trokaamisesta, mutta rähjäisen mökkinsä he ovat saaneet vuokralle siitä hyvästä, että huolehtivat tilasta ja samassa pihapiirissä sijaitsevasta päärakennuksesta, jonne äveriäs kaupunkilaismies Muttinen (Pentti Viljanen) aina silloin tällöin saapuu kesää viettämään – tänään vieläpä fiinin naisystävänsä (Hillevi Rautio) kanssa. Juutas ei ole pestistä erityisen innoissaan, koska pelkää häätöä eikä muutenkaan tunnu olevan halukas tekemään työtä toisen hyväksi.
Putkinotkon päivä on toimintaa täynnä. Muttisen visiittiä ennen vaimo ja lapset ehtivät käydä kaupungissa ja Juutas jauho-ostoksilla, myöhemmin illalla käydään saunomassa ja vielä sen jälkeen laskemassa verkkoja. Pelkästään Juutaksen jauhokaupoista on saatu hyvin yksinkertaisella tavalla tehtyä loistavaa viihdettä, eikä vaimon asiointi apteekissa ole yhtään sen tylsempää katseltavaa. Kaupungissa käydessään vaimo yrittää yhdessä veljensä (Ari Laine) kanssa miettiä, miten Juutaksen saisi suostumaan pontikankeittoon.

Sista leken (Finnish: Viimeinen kesä) is a 1984 Finnish-Swedish drama film directed by Jon Lindström. Sven Wollter won the award for Best Actor at the 20th Guldbagge Awards.
In this somber, psychological drama about the conflict between a man’s innermost feelings and a society that puts these feelings in a strait jacket, the mood is ruminative and depressing throughout. Alone, Viktor (Sven Wolter) heads off for his usual summer vacation to some islands where he can ostensibly look for antiques for his wife’s shop in Stockholm. His marriage is a failure or worse – he raped his wife before he left home, and he is obsessed by erotic imaginings. Once on the islands, he makes friends with a little girl whose mother is mentally disturbed and is kept by her husband in a locked room. The islanders are as tight-lipped as Viktor, and any communication is stiff and artificial. Viktor’s own alienation begins to slip as he takes surprising, violent action to turn around the imprisoned mother’s life – but it does not work, nothing seems to work – and his last actions indicate that he may not be willing to simply give up.

Divine enfant. 1989.
FR. Une fillette de 6 ans, Sarah, s'enfuit de son orphelinat. Elle ne veut pas se séparer de son petit chien, Toto, qui lui donne beaucoup d'affection. It is a narrative of how intercommunal relations deteriorated in cosmopolitan La Goulette after the end of French rule, especially Muslim-Jewish relations affected by the Six-Day War and the rising impact of Islam on Tunisian society.
The film also features La Goulette native Claudia Cardinale as herself. The film was entered into the 46th Berlin International Film Festival.
Summer, 1967. La Goulette, the touristic beach of Tunisia, is the site where three nice seventeen-year-old girls live: Gigi, Sicilian and Catholic; Meriem, Tunisian and Arab; Tina, French and Jewish. They would like to have their first sexual experience during that summer, challenging their families. Their fathers, Youssef, Jojo and Giuseppe, are old friends and their friendship will be in crisis because of the girls, while Hadj, an old rich Arab, would like to marry Meriem. Ya-Kōō. 1985.
ES. Pepiwe es un niño yanomami quien experimenta la visión de dos culturas al entrar en una misión religiosa. Dos mundos en conflicto. Observa de las religiosas el culto a un Dios nuevo (Cristo, representado en la cruz y en la ostia) mientras advierte que hay un deslinde de su nicho natural.
EN. Pepiwe (played by Jose Gregorio Payema) is a Yanomami boy living in a Catholic mission. After getting into an argument with his teacher about the name of his river (she says Rio Siapa; he calls it Periquitos), Pepiwe decides to return to the jungle to look for his family. He paddles down the Orinoco with his dog and parrot, and during a stopover on land he meets yet another nun (Flor Núñez), but not one from his mission. She pays the boy to show him the way to San Carlos de Rio Negro (by the Colombian border). He reluctantly agrees, but after a day's journey the nun tries to sneak away and loses the canoe. Ya-Koo has elements of a road movie with comically mismatched traveling companions, and the two leads have great chemistry, but it is much more than that. When we see Pepiwe in his own element, wise in his own jungle, feeding and caring for both himself and the lost nun in the beautiful and deadly rain forest, we feel that an entire culture and way of life is being celebrated. And also, perhaps, mourned. Ya-Koo is the Tupi word for good-bye.

Sweetwater. 1988.
 SE. Sweetwater är en norsk-svensk science fiction-, drama- och thrillerfilm från 1988 i regi av Lasse Glomm och med manus av Glomm och Petter Skavlan. I rollerna ses bland andra Bentein Baardson, Petronella Barker och Alphonsia Emmanuel.
Efter ett stort ödeläggande krig flyttar den unge arkitekten Allan ut från staden Sweetwater till en soptipp. Där lever han tillsammans med familjen och livnär sig på soporna från staden. Det största problemet är att få tag på färskvatten och i sökandet efter detta stöter Allan på en rad personer som blir hans vänner. Till slut sprids våldet från staden ända ut till soptippen.
EN. The action takes place in a grim anarchist future civilization after a big crash or war. A young man, Allan (Bentein Baardson), decides to move out of the city as his family live in. He brings his wife, Lisa ('Petronella Barker'), and the son to a big garbage dump located outside the city. Where they settle and survive on the waste they find on the dump. They are in many ways more closely related to each other by living this way, and Lisa eventually becomes pregnant. But there is a great shortage of water (Sweetwater) and the family of three must go out and look for water. When they discover they are not alone in staying in landfill. It will be a struggle for existence.
