Desideria è un'adolescente brutta e sovrappeso, al contrario, la madre Viola è bella e vive spensieratamente, cambiando spesso compagno e ciò la infastidisce al punto da tentare il suicidio, ma fortunatamente finisce in ospedale. Durante il ricovero perde molto peso e gradualmente da corpulenta e grossolana si trasforma in una bellissima ragazza che attira le attenzioni maschili.
Malgrado il miglioramento fisico, il rapporto con la madre non migliora, così Desideria decide di rintracciare il padre, che da tempo aveva abbandonato la famiglia. In un carosello di tradimenti e gelosie, Desideria spinge il suo amante Quinto a uccidere Erostrato, amante della madre; compresa la gravità dell'evento, Desideria uccide Quinto e inscena un omicidio-suicidio tra i due.

The child bitterly resents this. Tensions explode when the daughter catches her mother in bed with her lover and the maid. The enraged mother tells the girl that she was bought from a hooker because the mother could not bear children. This drives the poor girl to suicide. She fails and is hospitalized. There she loses her weight and blossoms into a great beauty. She returns home with vengeance in her heart.

Along with that decision comes a need to get away from her husband and from her psychiatrist, with whom she has had more than just a doctor-patient relationship. As Martha travels through a deserted city landscape in a storm, the external world reflects something of her inner turmoil. Flashbacks are interspersed throughout the film to enhance the suspense of Martha's inner and outer journey.

DE. Jauche und Levkojen ist ein Fernseh-Mehrteiler aus dem Jahre 1978, der von der Bavaria Atelier GmbH produziert wurde. Er basiert auf dem gleichnamigen Roman von Christine Brückner. Die Erstausstrahlung fand am 14. August 1978 im Ersten statt.
Der Mehrteiler schildert die ersten drei Lebensjahrzehnte der Maximiliane Irene von Quindt, die 1917 in der Endphase des Ersten Weltkrieges im Hotel Adlon gezeugt wurde, und im August des letzten Kriegsjahres auf dem im Besitz ihres Großvaters befindlichen Gut Poenichen in Pommern geboren wird (Drehort im Film ist Gut Sierhagen). Ihren Vater lernt sie nie kennen, da dieser an der Westfront fällt. Ihre aus Berlin stammende Mutter Vera, die mit dem Kind nichts anfangen kann, lässt das Kleinkind bald auf dem Gut der Großeltern zurück, um sich wieder in das Großstadtleben zu stürzen. Sie heiratet einen jüdischen Psychoanalytiker, der aus Wien nach Berlin gekommen war. Als dies in der Zeit des Nationalsozialismus gefährlich wird, reist ihr Schwiegervater zu ihr nach Berlin und verschuldet sich tief, um ihr die Flucht aus Deutschland zu ermöglichen. Maximiliane aber wächst – als Stammhalterin für das Adelsgeschlecht – bei den alten Quindts in Poenichen auf.
Die Episode "Wildwuchs" ist die 5. Episode der 1. Staffel der Serie Jauche und Levkojen.
Wie ihre Erzieherinnen, verliebt sich Maximiliane in Blaskorken. Der Inspektor nimmt ihre Schwärmerei nicht ernst und reagiert auch nicht auf die naiven Annäherungsversuche des halbwüchsigen Mädchens. Dem alten Quindt bleiben die Gefühlsverwirrungen seiner Enkelin nicht verborgen.

1. After the death of her mother, high school student Mari ends up in an orphanage. Three days later, the girl returns home, but her drunken father makes it clear almost from the door that she doesn't belong here.
The night spent at the train station ends for Mari with an acquaintance with an aggressive group of teenagers, led by Robi, and being driven to the police. In the morning, the fugitive leaves the cell: the orphanage teacher came for her.
The orphanage has its own internal hierarchy. The dashing guy Robi is considered the informal leader. The guys obey him and readily obey. The polite, intelligent Tauri, who, unlike the other pupils, has a respectable and very busy father, takes custody of the newcomer. Among the girls, the harsh, nervous Katrin, who ended up in an orphanage after her mother was imprisoned, dominates.

The Wooden Gun takes place in Tel Aviv in the early 1950s. Angelidi's highly theatrical, experimental and allegorical film is divided into three independently existing segments that intertwine because of the involvement of the Thief, the connecting link between the three reality perspectives. The three segments are The Net, The Dice and Free Will, each one representing a philosophical idea and a natural element, (Fate-Fire, Chance-Water, Free Will-Earth), respectively. A sculptress of funereal memorials has visions of the Last Judgment, a mother who lost her son attaches herself to remnants of memory and fantastical visions of encounters, and an actor prepares for Antigone, with fictional reality invading his existential realm. The film explores the different levels of reality that can be experienced: the metaphysical (Death, God and religion), the tangible (love and mother-son relationships), and the externalization of the soul through art (theater and fiction). The Thief stands for Time, as time is a thief and destroys everything.

Alice är full av känslor hon inte förstår och hon har ingen att prata med, förutom Annas son Patrik, som är jämngammal med Alice och som precis som hon vill att deras liv ska se ut precis som innan deras föräldrar flyttade ihop. Under filmens gång får man också följa Alice när hon är hos en psykolog och berättar om hur hon känner för sin nya familj.

EN. A lonely police detective tracks down a crazed child murderer. The movie develops both characters equally well. Most of us would be drawn more to the depiction of the killer as an aberrant type. He is well played as a person lost in his own world, with no friends, selling fresh fish, and drinking alone, unable even to ask for the check at one point, due to his acute inwardness. Our detective discovers the nude body of a young girl in the woods, the work of our killer. Unlike other films of this kind, this one moves (or plods) along at an absorbing pace, giving time for the detective to develop a relationship with an equally lonely school teacher. At one point, while they are making love, the killer is busy with another victim.
